Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, founded in 1904, is where the world's first successful limb replantation was performed, in 1963; it holds the Fudan A+++ tier.

Today it is a national orthopedics leader, with strong programs in joint reconstruction, limb salvage, and metabolic bone disease, plus a major endocrinology service.
